Chicagoland Day of Silence Organizing Summit-February 18, 2012

Join youth from across the city and suburbs for our annual Day of Silence Summit, a fun-filled day of GSA networking, a range of workshops on issues of activism, organizing, and the LGBTQ community, with plenty of food, games and glitter to break up the day.

Help your GSA prepare for the Day of Silence with a Day of Silence Kit

The Alliance provides Day of Silence kits to middle and high school GSAs across Illinois to help them prepare for the Day of Silence. Kits include t-shirts, buttons, palm cards, posters, and organizing materials, making sure that your silence is noticed.

You have the opportunity today to join the Alliance Youth Committee in leading the movement for safer schools by becoming a member of the Alliance’s Sustaining Giving Program. This program is a select group of committed donors who, through their regular, monthly gifts, help the Alliance to promote safety, support and healthy development for LGBTQ youth, in Illinois schools and communities. By giving a little each month makes a significant impact on those we serve. Here are a few examples of what your monthly gift made over the course of a year will provide:
      For $100/month you will co-sponsor a Youth Leadership Summit / Night of Noise.
      For $50/month you will sponsor a GSA to change their district policy.
      For $25/month you will send a GSA to a Youth Leadership Summit.
      For $10/month you will sponsor a GSA to receive Technical Assistance.
